Taylor Coughlin leaving IBMA

Taylor CoughlinAlso announced today during World of Bluegrass 2015 was news that Taylor Coughlin, Communications & Professional Development Director for the organization, is set to depart following this, their big annual event.

Coughlin joined the IBMA staff in March of 2013 to serve as Publications/Special Projects Director, taking over Nancy Cardwell’s original responsibilities when she was hired as Executive Director. At that time Taylor’s job consisted of getting the IBMA newsletter published each month, and managing the Bluegrass Nation web site.

Over the next two years, Taylor’s responsibilities changed and increased to the point of being a major part of the institutional memory on the staff. Here at World of Bluegrass she coordinates and manages the various educational seminars held throughout the week, and did the same for the occasional online seminars conducted by IBMA.

During the recent leadership change, Taylor and Eddie Huffman managed the whole operation until new Executive Director Paul Schiminger took the helm in June.

Coughlin is leaving IBMA to pursue a new opportunity in the health care field.
