The Dixie Bee-LinersWe heard recently from Brandi Hart with the Dixie Bee-Liners. She said that the band is headed back into the studio this month to begin work on their next CD for Pinecastle Records.

The new project with be titled Susanville, and will once again be recorded with Bil VornDick producing.

Brandi explained the idea behind the title…

“Susanville is the first of several bluegrass concept records we’ve been planning. Buddy and I were performing in California a few years ago, and I saw the town of Susanville on a map. We decided it would make a good song title because destinations can be very symbolic. Susanville is a town, but it’s also a place in time. It can be a woman, a but it’s also a memory. It represents all the things people miss about their youth — things that probably never existed the way we remember them.

The CD will be all about journeys and destinations.  Imagine being able to look down into every car on the highway and tell the stories of the people inside. That’s what Susanville will be like.”

Susanville is expected in the fall of 2009.
