Steve, Noam and the Punchers on Letterman

Video of Steve Martin and Punch Brothers on The Late Show hasn’t showed up yet on the CBS site, but as you might have guessed, it has made an appearance on YouTube.

Punch Brothers had long been booked for late last week, and Martin took advantage of the opportunity to make a public presentation of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass to Punch Bro Noam Pikelny.

Of course he also took occasion for a bit of subtle visual comedy. Follow the money, as they say.

Steve then joined Chris Thile and his merry band for a rousing version of Rye Whiskey from Antifogmatic, their most recent release.
