Steve Johnson, Principal with Mountain Music Entertainment has announced that he is closing the agency to take the job of Artist Relations manager with MerleFest.

This explains yesterday’s announcement that Junior Sisk had left Johnson for representation with Roe Entertainment.

Steve says that he will be assisting the rest of his acts in obtaining new representation prior to starting work at MerleFest on October 22.

“Our artists have been extremely supportive of my decision. We are working to transition all of our artists to new agents in the coming weeks and will share additional information as it becomes available.

I am very excited to be joining Wilkes Community College and MerleFest in this full-time position and continuing to work with my friends and colleagues in the music community in this new role.”

Other artists affected by this change include Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, I Draw Slow, Niall Toner, Brandon Rickman, and Mark Newton & Steve Thomas.
