Steve and the Rangers on TV July 4

Event Details

Steve Martin and Steep Canyon Rangers are in Washington, DC for an appearance on tonight’s PBS television spectacular, A Capitol Fourth.

They will perform three songs on the program, which airs live from the Capitol grounds at 8:00 p.m. (EDT), including one Steve wrote especially for this show. It’s called Me And Paul Revere, and tells the story of that most famous ride from the perspective of Revere’s horse, Brown Beauty.

At 9:00 a.m. this morning, Woody Platt of the Rangers will be on WAMU’s Bluegrass Country with Katy Daley to talk about preparations for tonight’s show. Listen live online.

And be sure to watch them on PBS tonight. There will be musical performances in a wide variety of styles, capped off with a stunning fireworks display.
