Special video from James Reams

James ReamsBluegrass balladeer James Reams has released yet another music video from his current album, Rhyme & Season.

Special is a train song James has thought about recording for some time, and decided to include on this project which he uses to explore the many issues that surround homelessness in the present day.

“I’ve wanted to include this song on an album for a long time. It provides a great balance to the album between the uptempo songs and the ballads and contrasts nicely with $100 Funeral.

Special brings home the camaraderie of riding the rails without glorifying that lifestyle choice.”

As a bicoastal bluegrasser, Reams maintains a band in New Jersey, and another in Arizona. He called on his west cost outfit for this number: Michael Rolland on fiddle, Billy Parker on mandolin, Tyler James on banjo, and Dan Meyer on bass.

Like the other recent videos from the new album, this one was produced by west coast filmmaker Rick Bowman.

Rhyme & Season is available from CD Baby.
