Sawyer Sessions LP coming from Yep Roc

Sawyer Sessions, Season OneBluegrass is well-represented on the upcoming Yep Roc Records project, Sawyer Sessions, Season 1, set for LP release on Record Store Day, April 18. The album contains tracks from the YouTube music series by the same name, created by filming a variety of acoustic artists performing in a variety of location in Hillsborough, NC.

The album, and the video series, is the brainchild of Redeye Worldwide, a popular and successful music distribution service that specializes in alternative, independent music and labels. They have an office in Hillsborough, and created Sawyer Sessions to highlight both the music and the unique settings the town provides.

Included are cuts from Chatham County Line, Jeff Austin, Aoife O’Donovan, and The Parkway Handle Band, along with folk/Americana artists Dave Alvin, Robyn Hitchcock, Mandolin Orange and several others.

They have created this video trailer as a pre-release tease.

All of the Sawyer Sessions performances can be seen on YouTube. Here’s one from Chatham County Line, for Tightrope Of Love, filmed in an historic Hillsborough home.

LPs and CDs for Sawyer Sessions, Season 1 will be available from participating retailers on Record Store Day.
