Rickey Wasson Band launches

The Rickey Wasson BandRickey Wasson, long time guitarist and lead singer with J.D. Crowe and The New South, has announced the formation of his own group. The Rickey Wasson Band will tour in support of his new album, Croweology, released at the end of May.

Joining Wasson in this new venture are bluegrass veterans Randy Graham on mandolin, Matt Wallace on bass, and Josh Hymer on banjo. As the situation allows, Rickey will also take a fiddle player along for shows.

Rickey says that he is really happy with the new band, and enjoys playing traditional bluegrass music with them very much.

Here is some video of them at Bean Blosson a couple months back.

The Rickey Wasson Band will be represented by Truegrass Entertainment.
