Punch Brothers on CMT

CMT.com has posted several videos from a recent performance by Punch Brothers, live in their Nashville studio.

There are five full songs, taken from their current Who’s Feeling Young Now album, and its predecessor, Antifogmatic.

Here are a couple, starting with their ingenious instrumental, Flippen...

…followed by their clever, tongue-in-cheek ballad, Next To The Trash.

Ahoy - Punch BrothersPunch Brothers have a new EP project, Ahoy, just released. Its five tracks were recorded during the Who’s Feeling Young Now sessions, and include a version of the bluegrass/old time classic, Moonshiner, a new instrumental with the intriguing title of Squirrel Of Possibility, and covers of songs from Gillian Welch, Josh Ritter and McLusky.

The band will embark on a major tour just after Thanksgiving, taking them all across the US through the end of February, with just three weeks off after New Years.
