Punch Brothers live video for Bedstock

Bedstock 2016What would you call an online music festival where popular artists and entertainers are asked to make a video of themselves performing in bed? Why Bedstock, of course!

The idea is to request donations to make music available for children and teens who are stuck sick in bed. MyMusicRx organizes the event, and puts all the videos up on their web site. This is the third year for Bedstock, which also features videos of writers reading for kids from their beds, and examples of the sort of musical performances the organization sends out to cheer some of the sick youngsters.

Kids love the silliness of seeing adults in bed playing music or reading their favorite books, and the attention it gets helps spur donations. Sounds like fun for everyone.

This year they’ve asked Punch Brothers to participate, and they obliged with this bedtime version of This Girl from their Who’s Feeling Young Now album in 2012.
