On My Mind from The Earls of Leicester

Can a group of Nashville bluegrass superpickers recall the power and precision of Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys in their prime? That’s the question Jerry Douglas is asking with his upcoming album with The Earls of Leicester.

The Earls include Jerry along with Shawn Camp, Tim O’Brien, Charlie Cushman, Barry Bales, and Johnny Warren doing their best Flatt & Scruggs impression. The concept is faithful recreations of Lester and Earl classics, with the hope of introducing this wonderful music to a new generation of bluegrass fans.

Rounder Records has set a September 16 release date for The Earls Of Leicester, and have agreed to let us feature this track today.
