Nu-Blu single to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital

Nu-BluNorth Carolina grassers Nu-Blu are using the release of their new single, Family Quilt, to help raise money for Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham, NC. Duke is a nationally-recognized facility that cares for a large percentage of seriously ill children in central North Carolina.

The song, by Jeff Walter and Deborah Berwyn, is the second single from the band’s debut Pinecastle album, The Blu-Disc. It tells of the connections that exist within a family, much like the threads that hold a quilt together.

A free download of the track is being offered through August 25 to anyone making an online donation to Duke Children’s through the Nu-Blu web site or Facebook page. 100% of the proceeds will be presented to the hospital at the conclusion of this campaign.

Nu-Blu guitarist Daniel Routh, whose wife (and bass player) Carolyn sings the song, says…

“On behalf of Nu-Blu, we would like to thank so many people that have helped us, both in our music careers and on a personal level. We are so excited to be able partner with Duke Children’s to be able to help children and their families that are going through these life-altering events.

Please join with us and become part of our Family Quilt.”

In addition to a free track download, fans who submit a donation online will also receive valuable coupons from participating sponsors.

Radio programmers may download the track from Airplay Direct.
