Nobody Knows You - Steep Canyon RangersThough the official release date isn’t until April 10, Rounder Records has released the latest Steep Canyon Rangers album, Nobody Knows You, for digital downloads today.

Ranger’s banjo man Graham Sharp says that as a special bonus for early adopters, pre-release downloaders also get an extra brand-new song, not available on the CD.

According to Sharp…

“The album features 11 tunes written within the band and one cover, Tim Hardin’s Reputation.

We’ll be playing some of these tunes tomorrow night, Tuesday the 27th, on a Grand Ol’ Opry show that also includes The Del McCoury Band and Dierks Bentley!”

Get the digital album from iTunes online.

Graham also mentioned that the Rangers are promoting their own bluegrass cruise in 2013, the Mountain Song at Sea Festival.

“This will be a three day cruise next February on the Norwegian Dawn boat. We’re still adding to the line-up, but so far it includes The Del McCoury Band, The David Grisman Sextet, Tim O’Brien, Peter Rowan, Bryan Sutton, The Kruger Brothers, and ourselves.”
