Mountain Ride’s Try video

Mountain RidePennsylvania’s Mountain Ride has been getting some traction online with this live music video for their new song, Try, written by band guitarist/vocalist Eric Avey. It was shot at Hip Gypsy Emporium in Duffield, PA earlier this summer.

When the band heads back into the studio early in 2017 to start work on their next album, this will be one of the songs they will record.

Avey says that, “The song was inspired by the cliché that says you never know unless you try, but mainly it expresses the frustrations many go through in different relationships. I write many of my songs prompted by friends and people we know.”

In addition to Eric, Mountain Ride consists of Scott Matlock on fiddle, Corey Woodcock on banjo, Chance Hurley on mandolin, and Kate Avey on bass. They like to mix the sounds of traditional bluegrass with the more modern vibe they have grown up hearing.

You can learn more about the band on their web site or Facebook page.
