Mountain Home signs Mountain Faith
Mountain Faith, a young family bluegrass Gospel group from western North Carolina, has signed on with Mountain Home Music to release a new album in May of 2011.
The band consists of proud papa Sam McMahan on bass, along with his daughter Summer Brooke McMahan on fiddle, and his son Brandon McMahan on banjo. The McMahans are joined by John Morgan on guitar and Paul Harrigill on mandolin. Sam rides herd, as all the other members are still in their teens.
Mountain Faith counts NC neighbors Balsam Range among their biggest supporters, who surely had an impact on bringing them to Mountain Home, for whom they also record. Balsam Range bassist Tim Surrett will produce the CD, and spoke very highly of the McMahans, et al.
“I have known and watched the family grow musically over the last few years and am so impressed by their talents as musicians and individuals. They are a great group of folks and I am so excited about being part of this project.”
Sounds like this will be a good’n.
