Josh Williams video on the Today Show

The Josh Williams video we featured last week – the one where the little birdie lands on Josh’s guitar mid song – is breaking even further into the mainstream.

As we reported on March 1, this unscheduled guest spot had gone viral on YouTube, with well better than 1 million hits on YouTube. On Thursday morning (3/8), the video will be featured on The Today Show on NBC. Look for the segment at roughly 10:20 a.m., during the extended hour portion of the show.

Josh is busy in the studio, finishing up a band project for Rounder, so he won’t be able to make it to New York for the show.

Here’s another look at the video…

Josh says that all the attention has caught him off guard.

“I’m really excited – this is so cool!

I guess I owe my feathered friend some credit. We’re going to recut Mordecai for the new record as well.

I hope everyone else is as excited about this new album as I am. With Crowe as producer, it seems like the perfect match.”
