Jon Glik fiddlin’ in Tokyo

We heard this week from Kaz Inaba, who shared some photos and a few words about a show this week in Tokyo where he welcomed famed Maryland-based fiddler Jon Glik to the stage.

Taro Inoue, Jon Glik, Tomohiro Konda, Kazuhiro Inaba, and Shinichi Murai at Rocky Top in Tokyo - May 14, 2013“A few days ago, on May 14, my band, Kazuhiro Inaba & Bluegrass Buddies had a gig at Rocky Top in Tokyo. Jon Glik was our guest fiddle player and he played good ol’ bluegrass fiddle. He is surely one of our bluegrass buddies!

Jon has been visiting his son in Japan for the past two weeks or so.

We played together at Rocky Top one before in May 2007.”

The Bluegrass Buddies are Taro Inoue on mandolin, Shinichi Murai on banjo, Tomohiro Kondo on bass, and Kazuhiro Inaba on guitar and lead vocals.

Here are a few shots from their 5/14 show.

Keep up with Kaz and his music online.
