Bluegrass fans will be familiar with Jason from his six years with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, two before that with Larry Stephenson, and another four with Carolina Road. He also played four years in his native Florida with The Sand Mountain Boys.

Mullins speaks highly of his new hire.

“We’re so thankful to welcome Jason. He’s a first class gentleman and a very tasteful player. He has a great approach to our bands’ sound and some beautiful, original tunes!

We are also very thankful for Evan and his years as a founding member of the Radio Ramblers. His precision on stage and in the studio, both as a player and engineer, really helped define our sound. His parents, Larry and Bev, have been constant supporters as well. We are grateful.”

Barie will officially start next weekend at the Southern Ohio Indoor Music Festival, hosted by Mullins at the Roberts Center in Wilmington, Ohio.
