Jaemor Farms to host winter concert series in Georgia

jaemorEdgar Loudermilk has announced a winter bluegrass concert series to keep the music ringing at Jaemor Farms in Alto, GA, the site of Edgar’s Bluegrass Farm Jam Festival in April of this year. The Barn at Jaemor Farms can seat just under 250 people for intimate shows and Edgar has booked one a month on a Friday night there from November through March of next year.

The Edgar Loudermilk Band, featuring Jeff Autry, will serve as the host band for each event at Jaemor Farms, which will each also include performances from one or more national touring artists. They have also contracted with Award Winning BBQ chef, Jeff McLeod of Precision Palate from western North Carolina to serve up the food.

Set to appear along with Edgar and the boys this winter are:

  • 11/18 – Shannon Slaughter & County Clare
  • 12/23 – Mercy Tree and Wilson Banjo Co.
  • 1/23 – The Marksmen and Shoal Creek Band
  • 2/17 – Curtis Blackwell & Dixie Bluegrass Boys
  • 3/17 – Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome

Tickets for these shows will be $15 at the door, with food and drinks available in the barn. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

The concert series will wrap up a month before the 2017 Bluegrass Farm Jam Festival, again at Jaemor Farms. Hopefully these winter shows can warm things up and keep the picking going in north Georgia when the cool weather hits later this year.
