It’ll Be Alright video from Mike Barnett

Mike Barnett, fiddler and songwriter late of The Deadly Gentlemen, has released this live performance video of the opening track of his recent album, One Song Romance.

The song is one of Mike’s, entitled It’ll Be Alright, done here by a group of Boston’s top modern grassers, and shot at The Music Emporium in Lexington, MA. In addition to Barnett on fiddle, we have Grant Gordy on guitar, Dominick Leslie on mandolin, Wes Corbett on banjo, Jared Engel on bass, and Emma Beaton on vocals.

The video was shot by Boston-area guitarist, Andy Cambria.

Even if you think you don’t like progressive bluegrass, give this one a try. It’s a tuneful number with a great arrangement, showcasing how the traditional form and function of a bluegrass band can be put to use in more modern music.
