Introducing Bill Faster

Bill FasterHere’s another new band to add to roster of bluegrass acts.

Bill Faster is composed of four young musicians from the Slovak Republic. Dusan Hronic plays guitar, Michael Barok is on mandolin, Richard Cifersky on banjo, and Anton Naroda on bass. Milan Benkovic is also a frequent guest on reso-guitar when the group performs live. All five are established bluegrass professionals in eastern Europe, having played with other popular groups and participated in teaching and workshops.

The guys tell us that the name comes not from an actual person called Bill Faster, but from a conceptual nexus that forms their musical vision.

Bill from Bill Monroe (the father of Bluegrass music) is combined with the word Faster because time is constantly moving and so too is bluegrass. This means that while we keep traditional bluegrass in our hearts, the new face to our band allows us to offer an exciting, contemporary sound.”

Bill Faster is working now on a debut single and music video, and have offered just a tiny taste.

More details are available on the band’s web site.
