Holly Norman brings James Burton to bluegrass

James Burton in the studio with Holly NormanHolly Norman has shared a video about her upcoming album, Taking Care of Bluegrass. It’s a tribute to Elvis Presley, and the new video was shot the day that the great James Burton came in to lay down some guitar.

Burton was Elvis’ lead guitarist and band leader from 1969 through to the end of Presley’s life. His classic chicken pickin’ style adorned dozens of Elvis recordings and contributed greatly to his rockabilly sound. He has continued to record and perform with top rock and blues acts through to this day.

When he stopped in to record for Holly’s CD, she had the video cameras rolling and is delighted to share these special memories with bluegrass fans worldwide.

Taking Care of Bluegrass will feature 12 grassed-up Elvis numbers, and one of Holly’s originals.
