Hard Country drops from Audie Blaylock

Event Details

Hard Country - Audie Blaylock and RedlineAlso hitting today is the latest Rural Rhythm project from Audie Blaylock and Redline. Blaylock is featured on lead vocals and guitar, with Jessie Brock on mandolin, Patrick McAvinue on fiddle, Russ Carson on banjo and Jason Moore on bass.

Hard Country is the title of the record, which Audie picked since it seemed to describe the vibe they captured in the studio.

“I chose the name Hard Country because I think it really defines the music on this disc. It still has that hard-driving bluegrass edge, then changes into slower paced ballad type songs as well, which really showcases the versatility of this band. It also shows just how closely bluegrass and country music are related.

All in all, I think there is something for everyone here. To date, I think this is some of our most creative work and I hope everyone enjoys listening as much as we enjoy playing it.”

A single has been released to radio as well, via Airplay Direct. Here’s a video of the song, A Natural Thing, performed live at the Niles Bluegrass Festival in Michigan a few weeks ago.

Hard Country is available now at Amazon.com, and should show up soon in iTunes and at your favorite CD resellers.
