Government Blues from Feller & Hill

Government Blues - Feller & HillFeller & Hill have released a single today, Government Blues, a new song from Dixie and Tom T. Hall, in advance of their next album, expected sometime in 2014.

Tom Feller tells us that the Halls sent them the song a few weeks ago, and asked if they thought they could do a quick turnaround and get something out before the holidays. Well… the boys buckled down and recorded, mixed, and mastered it in just two weeks! I guess it helps when you have your own studio.

Government Blues hearkens back to the Depression Era songs popular in the 1930s, but I suspect that Miss Dixie and Tom T. mean to imply a bit about today’s economic times as well.

Radio programmers can download the track now at Airplay Direct. For a limited time, the single is offered as a free download from the Feller & Hill web site.
