Get To Being Gone from Nothin’ Fancy

By Any Other Name - Nothin' FancyMountain Fever Records has released a debut single from By Any Other Name, their first album for Virginia’s Nothin’ Fancy. For the band, it’s their 12th project together.

The single is a new song from mandolinist and vocalist Mike Andes, called Get To Being Gone. You know that old favorite bluegrass song idiom, the get lost song? Well it’s one of those, sung with extreme prejudice.

Mike says that this one came to him on the road…

“As a songwriter, I am continually trying to write a catchy upbeat song. For me, this is not easily done. On a drive home to Ohio last year, this little hook came to me and I rolled with it. There’s a lot of words to get rolled off, but when they do, it creates a catchy little bluegrass toe tapper.”

Radio programmers can download the track now from Airplay Direct. Wide release is expected on October 30, but the band has some advance copies for immediate sale from their web site.
