Simply BlueFrom eastern Canada comes Simply Blue, a new young band of contemporary grassers whose debut album, Tears and Broken Hearts, is due this Spring.

The band consists of Jamie Melanson on guitar, Jason Guimond on banjo, Jessy Hebert on bass, and Guy Godin on mandolin. Jamie and Jessy take turns with the lead vocals.

The guys are based in Moncton, NB which has a very active bluegrass scene, and their sound is aggressive and polished. The upcoming CD includes a mix of originals and covers in both English and French, as you can see from this audio sampler they posted on Facebook.
