Campers began arriving on Saturday and jamming has begun in earnest!

Wednesday evening is highlighted by a jam hosted by the Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. This year the association will debut its “instrument petting zoo” with guitars, banjos, mandolins, a fiddle, an electric bass, and a ukulele. The purpose is for kids of all ages to be able to hold and find out something about bluegrass instruments. Maybe someone will be bitten by the bluegrass bug!

The stage show starts Thursday at noon and runs through Saturday night. The Spinney Brothers headline Thursday along with several of Michigan’s top notch bands, including Harbourtown and Steam Powered Bluegrass. Friday welcomes Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Special C, Donna Ulisse, Tim Shelton, and a second day for the Spinney Brothers. Saturday sees New County Grass, Edgar Loudermilk, Blue Mafia, Larry Cordle, Becky Buller, and Michael Cleveland.
