Since the release of her Christmas song cycle album, All The Way To Bethlehem, in November of 2012, Donna Ulisse has been in demand for special performances around the Christmas season. She has done as many as she can this past two years, but tonight promises an opportunity to enjoy her music live, worldwide.
Donna and her Poor Mountain Boys will broadcast this evening from Catch This Studios in Nashville via the Stageit platform. Starting at 8:30 p.m., they will perform all the tracks from All The Way To Bethlehem. The show can be viewed online from any internet-connected computer or device.
The concept behind this project was to write and record songs from the perspective of the primary characters in the Nativity story. All the songs were written by Ulisse, with a number of different collaborators.
Tonight’s program is what Stageit calls a “Pay What You Can” concert, where there is no specified ticket fee. Advance tickets are required, but viewers can pay as much, or as little as their situation and inclination suggests. All the details and tech requirements can be found on the Stageit site, where the tickets can be purchased.
