Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival is located in Morehead, Ky on beautiful Poppy Mountain. It is on a 1,400 acre farm, lots of fishing,hiking trails, ATV trails. The festival is a five day festival it runs from Tuesday thru Saturday and is always the third weekend in September. Some of the bands that have performed in the past are: Russell Moore & III Tyme Out, Marty Raybon,Ricky Skaggs Lonesome River Band, The Grascals, The Steel Drivers, also have had country music acts, Patty Loveless, John Anderson, Jamey Johnson, Earl Thomas Conley, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Joe Diffie.
