Della Mae guest on On Point

dellasDella Mae will be the featured musical guest on a special episode of On Point, tomorrow Friday, June 7, 4:00 p.m. (EDT).

The show, which airs on 140 NPR stations around the country and is normally broadcast live, will be recorded during a special episode on the evening of June 6 in front of an audience of 600 people.

Just prior to the taping, Della Mae will perform a 30-minute set for the audience. When the taping commences, they will perform a song to open the show and then do a brief interview with the show’s host, Tom Ashbrook.

The other featured guest on this episode will be award-winning cookbook author and New York Times columnist Mark Bittman.

The quintet’s new album – their second – This World Oft Can Be, was released on Tuesday, May 28.

Della Mae consists of founder/fiddler Kimber Ludiker, singer Celia Woodsmith, guitarist Courtney Hartman, Shelby Means on bass, and mandolin player Jenni Lyn Gardner.
