Del and Sam take over Bluegrass Country

Del McCoury and Sam Bush are heading to the nation’s capital this weekend for a duet show at The Birchmere on Sunday. To help promote the show, they will both be call-in guests on WAMU’s Bluegrass Country over the next two days.

Sam will be speaking with Katy Daley on Thursday morning (11/14) at 9:30 a.m. (EST), and then Del with Lee Michael Demsey on Friday in the 11:00 a.m. hour. Their signal is available in the DC metro area at 105.5 FM, at 93.5 FM in southern Maryland, and live online at bluegrasscountry.org.

Unfortunately, the other two Del and Sam dates scheduled for this weekend have been cancelled. The town officials in Norwalk, CT have had to commandeer the theater where the show was scheduled as temporary administrative offices after their facilities were damaged by the recent storms. That led to a routing problem for this dynamic duo, to which the show in Derry, NH fell victim.

It is hoped that those two shows can be rescheduled for February.

We expect to have a report on the Birchmere show next week.
