Deadly Gentlemen on The Gondola Sessions

When you hear of a web music series called The Gondola Sessions, does your mind go to old Venice with a striped shirted gondolier serenading his charges through the canals? If so, you’d be dead wrong.

This show comes from Aspen, CO, and packs acoustic musicians into a mountain gondola, and records them coming down from the peak, way up in the air. Much of the time, the videos feature a solo or duo act, but they have crammed full bands into the sky cars successfully, most recently Boston’s Deadly Gentlemen.

Here they are performing A Faded Star from their 2013 Rounder album, Roll Me, Tumble Me.

The Deadly Gentlemen are Stash Wyslouch on guitar, Mike Barnett on fiddle, Greg Liszt on banjo, Adam Chaffins on bass, and Dominick Leslie on mandolin.
