Curley Seckler undergoes surgery

Curly Seckler suffered a mild heart attack on April 3 and underwent triple bypass surgery on April 5 in Nashville. The surgery went well and he is expected to to spend about a week in the hospital before being able to go home.

His doctors said he was in great physical shape, and the prognosis is good. Though Seckler turned 90 years old last December, his surgeon said he would have guessed him to be about 15 years younger.

Regarding the surgery, Seckler’s manager, Penny Parsons reports…

“So far everything has been going well at the hospital, so that is reassuring. But these next few days will be challenging, and it will be a relief when he gets to go home.
