Cumberland Gap Connection signs with Kindred Records
Cumberland Gap Connection has signed an agreement with Kindred Records of Irvine, KY. Their new CD, A Whole Lotta Lonesome is scheduled for release in January 2011. It will feature 12 new tracks, 7 original songs written within the band.
A debut single, Ode To The Mountain Man, is now available to radio programmers on AirPlay Direct. The song was written by bandleader Mike Bentley, who also sings and plays guitar with the band. It’s a groovy, mid-tempo number that tells the story of a “real” man of the mountains.
Here’s just a taste:
Joining Bentley are Rod Smith on banjo, Clint Hurd on mandolin and Bryan Russell on bass. You can hear more music and find out more about the band online.
