Cody Hill leaving Darrell Webb Band

Cody HillBanjo picker Cody Hill has announced that he is departing The Darrell Webb Band and leaving East Tennessee to return home to Indiana.

His plans include resuming a career in the fiber optics industry, and filling in with a number of different bands over the rest of the summer. He’ll be resettling in the Indianapolis area.

No word yet from Darrell on who might be coming in on banjo. In addition to touring with the band all over the southeast, The Darrell Webb Band also performs regularly at the various resort and tourist attractions in and around Gatlinburg, TN.

Webb says that he is sorry to see him go.

“It was an honor to have Cody in the band and I wish him nothing the but the best in his future endeavors. Cody wants to move back back to Indiana to be with his kids. He’s a great guy and a great friend, and one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met. He will be greatly missed.”

Good luck to Cody, and we’ll report on Darrell’s new banjo picker when it is announced.
