Clay Hess has seen the light

Clay HessI Saw The Light is the name of the first single from The Clay Hess Band’s upcoming debut CD. And no, it’s not another cover of the Hank Williams classic.

It’s a new song from Craig Market and Wayne Winkle, in which the narrator has a near-death experience following a serious auto accident. He saw the light.

Assisting Clay, who handles lead guitar and vocal, are his son Brennan on rhythm guitar and tenor, Irl Hees on bass, John Meyer on banjo, and Nick Keen on mandolin.

I Saw The Light debuted earlier this morning on Sirius XM’s Bluegrass Junction, and will be available this evening to radio programmers at Airplay Direct.

The album is still being recorded, and should be out later this year on Kang Records, a label Clay operates with his studio partner, Rick Hayes.
