Carnival video from Nora Jane Struthers

Carnival - Nora Jane Struthers & the Party LineNora Jane Struthers & the Party Line have released a first music video from their new album, Carnival.

It’s for the title cut, written by Ms. Struthers, featuring her and her merry band: Aaron Lewis on fiddle, Joe Overton on banjo, P.J. George on bass, and Drew Lawhorn on drums.

The song, the arrangement and the performance place Jane and her boys right square in the intersection of a venn diagram describing bluegrass, old time, singer/songwriter and Americana music today.

Struthers said that they all had a blast shooting this last year.

Nora Jane Struthers & the Party Line“What I love about the video the most is that is does visually what I tried to make the whole album do sonically — provide a window into a different world. We shot it in East Nashville last Halloween, pulling costumed people in from the neighborhood bars and off the street to be extras! It was so crazy fun- truly.

Craig Hill did the camera work and Dycee Wildman edited it together. They are my dynamic, amazing, video team.

A bunch of our friends came out and made cameo appearances in the video too, including the Producer of the album, Brent Truitt (mando man with SteelDrivers).”

Well done, young lady… and gentlemen.
