Brad Hudson back to Carolina Road

Brad HudsonLorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have welcomed Brad Hudson back to the band on reso-guitar full time.

The eastern North Carolina native developed a fascination with Carolina Road’s music as a teen, and went to see them perform as often as possible. His hope to join the band was realized in 2009 when he became a member just in time for their Carolina Hurricane CD.

After about four years touring with Carolina Road, Brad moved to Pigeon Forge, TN to work at the town’s Country Tonite theater. There he worked as a vocalist and bass player for several seasons until accepting a position with Gospel entertainers, Jeff and Sherri Easter, as a utility musician.

When Lorraine and the Carolina Road boys started recording their current Country Grass album in 2015, they asked Brad to  play dobro in the studio. Before long he was back to doing shows with them on the road, and has now been announced as back in the fold. He will be part of all the Country Grass shows, and many of the bluegrass shows as well.

When not out with Carolina Road, he’ll also do shows with Dolly Parton and her family band at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. Hudson is also working now on his debut solo project for Pinecastle Records.

Busy boy…
