Bowman, Rigsby, Smith project in the works

Event Details

A powerful trio of bluegrass all-stars have announced plans for a special project, with work set to begin in the near future.

Ronnie Bowman, Don Rigsby and Kenny Smith performed together as members of Lonesome River Band in the mid-to-late 1990s. Each moved from LRB to success as solo artists, songwriters and/or band leaders.

They have made a pair of performances together since leaving the group: a special 2010 Don Rigsby show at the Mountain Arts Center in Kentucky, and then last month at the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer festival in Ohio.

Now these three friends and celebrated musicians are set to reunite again for a new album, and some live appearances as their various schedules allow. A fourth will be added to this trio for both the studio and the stage.

More details are to be released soon.
