Big milestone for Banjo Hangout

Event Details

Banjo Hangout, the vibrant online community for banjo players of every stripe, reached a major milestone recently when they signed up their 50,000th member. I can feel the wailing and gnashing of teeth from mandolin and guitar players this whole world over.

To commemorate the achievement, site owner/operator Eric Schlange created this mosaic image of Earl Scruggs, made up of 2,000 individual avatars of current Banjo Hangout users. Eric says that he used the free AndreaMosaic software to generate the photo montage.

Congratulations to Eric and all the Banjo Hangouters (Hangers Out?). Schlange also operates similar sites for fiddle, bass, flatpick guitar, resonator guitar and drums.
