Bibey & Grasstowne to Wilson Pickins

Alan BibeyWilson Pickins Bluegrass Promotions is taking over the world! It seems that Melanie Wilson adds a new band to her roster every few days.

Today she has announced the signing of Alan Bibey & Grasstowne to the agency for representation and publicity services. The band has been a going concern for ten years now, with Bibey only recently taking full charge of the group and putting his name out front.

His current band includes a number of stellar bluegrass artists, with Bibey on mandolin and lead vocals. Greg Luck is on guitar, Gena Britt on banjo, Zak McLamb on bass, and Courtney Rorrer on fiddle. Gena, Greg, and Courtney are all first-rate singers as well, giving Grasstowne a wide variety of sounds and styles they can cover, not to mention the strong material on their current release, Grasstowne 4.

They join a large and growing number of artists working with Wilson Pickins, like The Edgar Loudermilk Band, Kim Robins, Kristi Stanley, Shannon Slaughter & County Clare, Mike Bentley & Cumberland Gap Connection, Tyler Williams, Jim & Lynna Woolsey, and several others.

Here’s a video Grasstowne put together recently featuring several numbers from their current stage set.
