Another job opening at IBMA

IBMAThe International Bluegrass Music Association is advertising an opening in the organization’s Nashville office.

The position is listed as Technology & Office Systems Manager, which is actually a reconfigured job description based on current staff and task requirements.

IBMA Executive Director Nancy Cardwell tells us that the opening is the result of a trusted employee’s impending departure.

“Katherine Coe, who is our current Administrative & Media Assistant at IBMA, is returning to work for Denise Stiff at DS Management in Nashville.

Katherine’s last day at IBMA will be July 15. She has brought a lot of creativity and talent to the IBMA staff, and we’ll miss her!”

The online job listing defines the position as follows:

The International Bluegrass Music Association is seeking a web applications developer to assist with development and maintenance of various systems. The candidate will also assist with internal network maintenance (i.e. installing software and network devices), in addition to tech work on ibma.org, bluegrassnation.org and IBMA databases.

Proficiency in the following is a plus: Windows 7, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, CSS, html 5, experience with e-commerce, graphic design, and video production.

Office management duties will also include data entry, online registration, ticket & merch sales, accounts receivable processing & deposits, help with information requests (phone, email), and organizing volunteers for the annual, week-long World of Bluegrass conference.

Also a plus: knowledge about and involvement with the bluegrass music genre/community/industry,  and familiarity with IBMA and World of Bluegrass events.
