And the winner is…

Congratulations to Joe Kershenbaum of Waterbury, CT who won our iPad Mini giveaway this month.

Joe tells us that he found his way to bluegrass, and Bluegrass Today, via a circuitous route.

Joe Kershenbaum“I had a piano teacher who introduced me to a many kinds of music at a young age. Ultimately, I got a BA in Music. I always liked bluegrass music, but really got into it as my brother was raising his kids. They are all good musicians (They have played at Boston’s Symphony Hall), and they introduced me to a wider variety of bluegrass and Celtic music. It was a great experience.

I like bluegrass for the technical excellence that bluegrass musicians have, but also for its deep emotional underpinnings. I not only listen to current artists, but have gone back to listen to some of the early bluegrass pioneers. I came to read Bluegrass Today as a result of that exposure.”

Keep an eye out for more giveaways in coming months.
