A big day for our Special Correspondent

Congratulations to our Special Bluegrass Correspondent, John Goad.

Yesterday (12/15) he graduated from East Tennessee State University, along with four other students, with a bachelor’s degree in Bluegrass, Old Time & Country Music Studies. Goad graduated with a dual major, accepting a history degree as well.

Since Bluegrass Today launched in September of 2011, John has contributed album reviews, hilarious videos and, more recently, his Bluegrass Weather Reports.

But his time at ETSU is not over. Goad has been hired as a graduate assistant in the BGOTCMS program next year while he pursues a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at ETSU, concentrating in history.

Also graduating yesterday with the BGOTCMS bachelors were Lindsey Michelle Clontz, Laura Jane Ford, Dan Troyer, and Ryan Baisden. Graduating with a bluegrass minor were Dwayne Anderson, Jamie Danielle Collins, Cody Weston Atkins and Kevin Zollinger.

Congratulations, one and all.
