Lincoln Meyers Moves On

Hot picker Lincoln Meyers has moved on from Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen. Frank says 21-year-old Chris Luquette will handle guitar duties during the band’s two-week tour of Alaska that starts later in January.

Chris is likely to be a short-term answer for Dirty Kitchen. He leads his own Seattle-based band, Northern Departure, and dabbles in a number of genres, including Brazilian jazz and rock. But he’s no stranger to bluegrass. In fact, a video on Frank’s website shows Chris picking with Rhonda Vincent.

According to the band’s announcement, Lincoln “wanted to start spending more time at home off the road.” This is the second major personnel shift for Dirty Kitchen in recent months. Bassist Stefan Custodi left the band just before IBMA’s World of Bluegrass last fall. He was replaced by Danny Booth. Danny’s first tour with the band, a recent West Coast swing, was Lincoln’s last.

Mike Munford continues to hold down banjo duties for Frank’s band.
